Welcome to?Blue Horizon at Shipwatch, a beautifully appointed three-bedroom, three-bathroom oceanfront penthouse located on the top floors of the highly sought-after Shipwatch Villas community in Wild Dunes. 

With its unique two-story design, three private balconies, and expansive Atlantic views, Endless Blue Horizon offers a wonderful combination of space, privacy, and coastal comfort. Whether you're watching the sunrise over the ocean, spending the afternoon by the pool, or relaxing on the balcony after a day at the beach, the setting is what makes this home truly special. 

The main living level is bright and welcoming, with light ceramic flooring and comfortable furnishings arranged so that the?ocean remains the centerpiece. Large glass doors lead directly to the oceanfront balcony, bringing the sights and sounds of the Atlantic into the living space. 

The kitchen features white shaker cabinetry, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and plenty of room for preparing everything from a quick beach lunch to a family dinner. Just beyond the kitchen is one of the home's most distinctive features—a beautiful custom blue resin dining table inspired by the colors and movement of ocean waves. With seating for six, it creates a memorable gathering place for meals together. 

The unique penthouse layout provides plenty of room for families, couples, or friends traveling together.

Each bedroom features a flat-screen television, and room-darkening curtains make it easy to enjoy a leisurely morning when the beach isn't calling quite yet. 

Outside the villa, guests have direct access to the?Shipwatch oceanfront swimming pools, including a main pool and separate children's pool, as well as the community playground. Beyond the pool is direct access to one of the most beautiful stretches of beach within Wild Dunes.

Parking 

Guests are permitted?two vehicles?at Shipwatch Villas. Parking within the Shipwatch community is first come, first served. Golf carts, LSVs, trailers, and motorcycles are not permitted at Shipwatch/Wild Dunes.

Beach Chairs and Umbrella 

The?Isle of Palms Beach Chair Company?will provide your family?with two classic wooden beach chairs and an umbrella?when you stay seven nights?(March–October). 

These are set up on the beach each morning for your family and removed each evening by the crew at the Isle of Palms Beach Chair Company.

Ideally located, the Isle of Palms provides easy access to?Sullivan’s Island, Mount Pleasant, and Historic Charleston. Sullivan’s Island (7 miles)?features historic Fort Moultrie and wonderful dining options along Middle Street.  In?Mount Pleasant (8 miles), families enjoy visiting Boone Hall Plantation with its famous Avenue of Oaks, the USS Yorktown, Towne Centre shopping, and the restaurants lining the shrimp docks of Shem Creek. 

Finally,?Historic Charleston (17 miles)?is one of the country's most celebrated travel destinations and offers world-class restaurants, galleries, historic homes, beautiful gardens, museums, and centuries of Lowcountry history.

Local Recommendations & Island Insights 

Having spent more than?30 years on the Isle of Palms, I’m always happy to share recommendations for restaurants, surf spots, running routes, playgrounds, fishing guides, boat tours, and local activities that can make your stay even more memorable. 

About a week before your arrival, I’ll also send a list of?special events happening in Charleston during your stay, along with a few personal favorites around the island. 

If anyone in your group enjoys running, I also host a?weekly group run on Sullivan’s Island, typically on Thursday evenings starting near Breach Inlet. We adjust the timing based on weather and daylight, but guests are always welcome to join. 

Sullivan’s Island is one of the most historic barrier islands in the United States, and during the run I enjoy sharing stories about the island's landmarks, historic homes, and points of interest while tailoring the run to the group's pace and goals. 

It's a relaxed and fun way to explore one of the most beautiful stretches of coastline in the Lowcountry.

Things to Note 

Wild Dunes does?not?have a central resort pool for all visitors. Most neighborhoods and villa communities have their own private pool for guests staying in that specific area. 

Guests at Endless Blue Horizon have access to the?Shipwatch Villas swimming pools. The pools at the Hyatt Boardwalk Inn, Sweetgrass Inn, and Sweetgrass Fitness Center are reserved exclusively for Hyatt hotel guests and are not available to vacation rental guests. 

Shipwatch swimming pools are unheated and generally open year-round from 9:00 AM until dusk. 

Golf, tennis, spa services, clinics, and other Wild Dunes recreational activities are not included with the rental and should be arranged separately with the appropriate provider. 

The Wild Dunes Community Association maintains a?strict no-pet policy for non-residents.

Pets are not allowed within the gates of the community. 

Guests must be?25 years of age or older?to reserve this property. 

House parties, weddings, receptions, and other events are not permitted. 

Guests should provide their own beach and pool towels.
