2026 Isle of Palms Beach Nourishment Project

The City of Isle of Palms has approved a beach nourishment project to enhance and preserve the shoreline. The project is expected to take place between Summer and Fall 2026.

At this time, the contractor—Marinex Construction—has not released a finalized schedule. Based on current discussions, work may begin in July and will progress along the beach in sections.

During active work in a specific area, guests may notice temporary equipment, piping, and limited beach access directly in front of that section. These impacts are typically short-term, as the work moves steadily along the shoreline.

Many areas of the island will not be affected at the same time, and beach access remains available outside of active work zones.

We are closely monitoring updates from the City and will provide timely information to all guests as soon as a confirmed schedule is released.
